I relish the ironic notion that much light art encourages the viewer to slow down, wait, observe, absorb, perceive and yes, feel. Whereas, the medium itself is, well, moving at the speed of light. Light art can be immersive. Light alters our mental and emotional state. Light art truly invites the viewer into it, not in the figurative manner that all art can, but literally. Come into the light, and be cast out into the dark. The light engulfs one’s very skin. You pass through it, and it devours you.
